The Team

Annet Deng

Founder & Executive Director

Annet Deng is a South Sudanese tech advocate and recent university graduate dedicated to building safe, accessible digital spaces for young women and gender-marginalized youth. Recognizing the rising threats of Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) and online harassment facing her peers, she founded YOUTHFUL to turn digital rights into everyday protection.

As a young leader, Annet bridges the gap between emerging technology and community action. She spearheads YOUTHFUL’s core initiatives, from localizing digital security toolkits into Juba Arabic to delivering practical digital hygiene training for youth-led movements across South Sudan. Her work centers on language justice, survivor-focused protection, and reclaiming the internet as a tool for youth liberation.
